I Don’t Care About Your Causes

Sorry to hurt your feelings.

LBGTQ+, BLM, all that, they are all worthy causes, I’m not saying that. I just don’t care. I have my own sh*t to worry about. But stuff like gay marriage? I fully support it. I don’t see why anybody wouldn’t, but here’s the thing-if you aren’t gay or marrying someone who’s gay, what’s it to you? Keep your nose out of it. Like me.

BLM? I’m one of those controversial people who thinks all lives matter, no matter their color, race, whatever. You wanna be treated equal, I’m doing that. I don’t give a crap about white people, I don’t give a crap about anybody else. You know what I do hate? Whiners.

Take your whining self and go jump off a cliff. We all have sh*t to deal with. What makes you so special that you think the rest of us should stop what we are doing and feel bad for you? Cause, I hate to break it to you, but you aren’t special. You’re trans? Great. Keep it to yourself. You’re vegan? Don’t break your arm patting yourself on the back. Why do I care what you eat? See, what most people are too polite to say, they don’t really give a crap either, they are just too nice to say it.

I mean, none of us really wish anything bad on anybody, we just don’t want to keep hearing about all your crap.

I fully support your rights to be or do whatever you want, so long as you don’t hurt anybody else.

You’re gay? Great. I’m not. I don’t care that you are. It’s not even on my radar. Keep it to yourself.

BLM? Police brutality is bad, no matter who it’s aimed at, no matter who the victim is. Get over yourselves.

Heck, according to Statistica, from 2017 to 2022, every single year, more white people were shot than any other race. You don’t hear me whining, though.

When I get pulled over, I keep my hands on the damn wheel and clearly communicate what I’m doing to the officer. I don’t want to become a statistic, myself.

Please don’t take anything I’ve written as throwing crap at anybody. I don’t care enough for that. Like most Gen Xers, probably like most everybody, if they were honest, I just want to be left alone. So go bother somebody else.

Have a nice day. Somewhere else.
